MAKING A REFERRAL TO RADAR

If you wish to refer someone to RADAR please contact us to discuss. RADAR cannot accept self-referrals or referrals for anyone under 18 years of age.

RADAR provides short term accommodation (up to six months) to destitute asylum seekers with NRPF (No Recourse to Public Funds) who have been referred to it by an appropriate agency, preferably one that has been doing case work with them. RADAR itself cannot not be directly involved in asylum casework. Our aim is to give them a period of stability to pursue an appeal or fresh claim. We will only accommodate people who are continuing to engage with the asylum system.

RADAR cannot accommodate anyone who has an on-going drug or alcohol problem, or a history of violence, abuse, or arson.

If it has space, RADAR may offer temporary short-term accommodation to a refugee who finds themselves homeless in the transition between Home Office accommodation and Local Authority accommodation. The detailed arrangements, including the duration, will be determined at the time on a case-by-case basis.
